What is Rush?
Rush is a year round process of membership recruitment that all fraternities practice. Rush is what sustains and shapes a fraternity, because the type of men we bring into our chapters defines our future. The IFC Rush week is an opportunity for the Interfraternity Council to help facilitate this process for all the fraternities on campus. There are no obligations by going through fraternity Rush, financial or otherwise. Rushing can be done alone, with a friend, or a group of people – the choice is yours. The atmosphere is casual. You will find that the members of each individual chapter are as eager to meet you as you are to meet them.
How to Join:
• Bids are formal invitations extended to a rushee when the fraternity feels that he would make a great addition to their individual chapter. This can sometimes take several visits to a house or can happen rather quickly depending on the individual rush experience. Bids are handled differently by each chapter but are always given in person. If you have any questions or concerns about rushing, e-mail Matt Albrizio, Vice President of Membership, at ma06c@fsu.edu.
